I have a 401K and a 403B. I work for the State of NJ so my job is pretty stable. My job matches the 401K and the 403B just has a little bit of money every paycheck. I am worried about retirement because the older people in my family are struggling, so I do want to pad more on to a regular savings account and invest in a Roth IRA. My bf is very much into investing and he’s knowledgeable as an accountant, so I may bend his ear some more about this. I have student loans that come due in 2012 so I’m trying to prepare for it, but the loans are not too much, so I should be in good shape to pay them.
